Monday Morning Group
Group meets typically biweekly on Monday mornings at the Temple to read and discuss one book each year
The group will engage in a year long study of anti-Semitism using Ron Rosenbaum’s outstanding book from 2004, Those Who Forget the Past: The Question of Anti-Semitism. The question of renewed anti-Semitism is examined from an exhaustive array of perspectives: historical, literary, political. Rosenbaum includes his original essay (which first appeared as a newspaper column responding to Philip Roth’s Operation Shylock) along with a stunningly thorough introduction. Cynthia Ozick provides an afterword, "The Modern Hep!Hep!Hep!", which prophetically summarizes the hateful course of crimes against Jews through the centuries.
